Igniting a Passion for the Lost Souls – A Message by Pastor Olusegun Kolade

Is there still any hunger for souls in us?

John 4:32 says, ‘But He said to them, “I have food to eat of which you do not know.”

While Christ disciples went out to get some food , Jesus Christ had a personal encounter with a woman of Samaria who would also served as an evangelist and a mobiliser.

These precious souls, to Jesus Christ is the REAL HUNGER that every sincere believer should have.

Our hunger for souls should be deeper than any other thing in this world.

John 4:33 says, “Therefore the disciples said to one another, “Has anyone brought Him anything to eat?”

In John 4:34, ” Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.”

God’s will as clearly seen here is to lead souls to Christ and make them His followers.

This was and is His priority, and should be ours too.

What is the will of God?

” Who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

~1 Timothy 2:4

God’s only will is the salvation of all men.

He was sent to the world for this purpose, we have been sent to the world for this same reason

“Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!”

~John 4:35

It takes spiritual insight, spiritual understanding to know that there is no better time to win souls than this season.

You may think you have all the time, but from Christ’s perspective, it must be done with every sense of urgency.

Lift up your eyes the Master says!

The fields are ripe, else they will waste away…

Our time, resources and all that we have should be committed to this assignment the Lord has committed into our hands.
