Interestingly, the Bible didn’t just admonish us to seek the kingdom of God but to seek it first.
‘But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.’
– Matthew 6:33
This implies giving the kingdom of God priority over all of life’s endeavors.
We are in a time when activities that don’t have eternal value are constantly stirring us in the face and demanding our attention, but the Bible insists that Kingdom service should be given priority.
And the Bible isn’t unclear about the benefits we stand to enjoy in return, as we set our priorities right.
Man wasn’t created to run after things, but to dominate all of life’s affairs and circumstances.
And the one way to dominate and cause things to run after us is to run after kingdom-related endeavours.
A situation where we try to create time for God and His kingdom only when there’s a need to, or when we have spare time will hardly yield traction in our walk with God.
So, if you have been seeking God’s kingdom, but not giving it a priority, this is a clarion call to reverse the order.
The Kingdom of God deserves first place.
Embrace this order and see how you’ll start commanding things in your favour miraculously.
Amen and Amen!
