The Price and Prize for Reaching the Lost – A Poem

‘For you were bought with a price; glorify, then, God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.’

I Corinthians 6:20

‘For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life you inherited from your forefathers.’

1 Peter 1:18

Bought with a price, O what a price!
‘Twas Jesus’ precious Blood,
That bought our pardon, cleansed our sin
And brought us nigh to God.

‘Twas not the blood of calves or goats,
That bought our pardon free,
But Jesus Christ’s most precious Blood,
Shed forth at Calvary.

To Him who washed us in His Blood,”
To Him be glory given,
Who paid the ransom, cleansed our sin,
And purchased us for heaven.

Some times I feel like i’m all alone,
he would touch my heart making his
presence known.
He would take away the sadness and lift
me up high,
and dry the tears that fall from my eyes

The Crown of life is awarded to the man who endures temptations,
Endure the trials of life, the devils darts and his tribulations.
This crown is given only to those who have suffered,
To those who have survived after being buffeted.
